strawberry ice cream

i just finished my very first batch of homemade ice cream! i was nervous that i would accidentally scramble the eggs when making the custard, but i didn’t! i had picked up two pints of strawberries from groundworks organics at the farmers’ market and they just seemed made for this ice cream.
i think tomorrow i’ll try making this sour-cherry lambic sorbet. i found the link on the kitchn today. it sounds like the perfect tart accompaniment to the sweet strawberries. hopefully i can find sour cherries…
