hello everyone! sorry i dropped out a bit… we skipped out of town for a couple of days to visit seattle. it was cool, windy, and rainy and i was really glad to be a pacific northwester, otherwise i don’t think i would have enjoyed, or even tolerated it, as much. i hadn’t done any touristy stuff in seattle in years and it was fun to revisit some places and explore some new ones.
i first fell in love with pike place market when i was in high school. i think i went to it as part of a choir trip or something. it’s like an amazing farmers’ market all of the time!
i love peonies!
i think most of these bouquets were only $5…
these orange poppies drive me crazy! so beautiful!!!
we visited the olympic sculpture park on the waterfront. being next to such large pieces of art is humbling.
view from the top of the space needle. i am really afraid of heights. the glass elevator ride up wasn’t my favorite experience, but the view once i was up there made the ride totally worth it. imagine what it is like on a sunny, clear day!
here i am going ‘incognito’ on the ferry to bainbridge island. once on the island we drove to poulsbo and wandered around little norway. the highlight of little norway was sluys bakery. i had a cherry strudel that was to die for.
